Sehnen (Short Film)
One word from his friend, just a touch too loud, and Konrad, a young farmer in Swabia in the 1960s, is back at the kitchen table of his childhood. There, as so often, he is shouted at by his mother. He desperately tries to fill the hole that opens up inside him with the food on his plate. Faster and faster, more and more, as much as fits on the plate until it is empty. The food seems to mirror his friend August and the kitchen table of his childhood seems to be the origin of his life today.
“Sehnen” is a short film, that I worked on as a lighting technician and grip and premiered last year at the Filmschau Baden-Württemberg Filmfestival in Stuttgart
